An overhead view of Kelli's desk on which sits a sock knitting project in progress with a zelda themed divided tetrahedral fabric project pouch. The socks are vanilla double gusset on the bottom toe up socks. Both socks are being knit concurrently on separate circular needles. One sock has been placed on a sock ruler. Both socks have semisolid hand dyed medium dark silver grey toes. The foot of the sock is a dark to light semisolid hand dyed purple gradient that was started on the dark end of the gradient. The small center pull balls they are being knit from are visible.

My #wipwednesday project is a pair of impromptu socks! These will be gifted to my Mom who hinted at needing to retire some of her handknit socks soon. Yarn is my Lleap base. Using a set of Shorty gradient Sock Twins in "Lavendula" & a Wee skein of "Crone" for the contrasting toes & cuffs. #knitsky

Last day of #tourdefemme and I finished spinning the first bobbin of singles for this targhee wool/hemp fiber blend.

A hand turned wooden drop spindle with decorative pyrographed motifs on the top of the whorl sits on Kelli's desk. The spindle has a small cop of handspun turquoise singles yarn wound onto the shaft. A cardboard storage spindle with more of the same color handspun singles wound onto it is also laying on the desk attached to a wireless drill. The drill has just been used to wind the bobbin.

Finished the singles for my little spindle spin last night. Today I wound all the singles (some from before the Tour) onto storage bobbins, 2-plied them on my wheel & skeined up the resulting 142 yard skein. It will get stashed with my other random future-weft handspun skeins. #tourdefemme

Today's #tourdefleece fiber prep & spinning. A 90/10 blend of targhee wool and hemp. This is a test spin for the hemp fiber I recently dyed. I'll be spinning along through #tourdefemme.

An immersion dyed braid of targhee wool in various shades of lavender sites on Kelli's desk. Tge desk mat is nearly the same combination of colors as the targhee. Three small piles of loose short hemp spinning fiber are sitting in front of the targhee. Each pile has been low water immersion dyed a different color. The left pile is a pale sea green. The middle pile is a medium fuchsia. The right pile is a pale aqua blue.

Did a little more spindle spinning today for #tourdefleece. Tomorrow I plan to start blending up this targhee and hemp fiber for my next wheel spin. The targhee is a random immersion dye I did a bit ago to use up some extra dye & it's pretty funny how closely it matches my desk mat. ๐Ÿ˜‚

An overhead photo of ten pieces of hand dyed fabric samples laid out overlapping each other so that a narrow band of each color of fabric is visible. The fabric has been machine zig zag stitched on the edges to reduce fraying. The fabrics have been scrunch dyed in low water immersion dyebaths to create color variation amd dimension. The photo has been cropped and a black border has been added. The Llady Llama logo is in the lower right corner.

A little lineup photo of my recent low water immersion scrunch dye fabric samples. Fabric is 80/20 organic cotton/hemp. I took a bunch of photos of the fabric, fiber and yarn samples today for the next ko.fi.com/lladyllama blog post. I have project ideas for most of these fabric samples already.๐Ÿ’ก

Have a lot of sinus pressure for some reason today. Took my antihistamines on time & everything- hasn't seemed to help much. But what REALLY didn't help was me casually taking a sip of my half flat seltzer while plying earlier and it rudely going straight up my nose. ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿคง
