I often walk past this grave on the way to work, on the outskirts of Lincoln. One of the founding members of Rangers, McBeath ended up working in a poor house in Lincoln, buried in an unmarked grave. Rangers fans paid for a headstone to be placed by his resting place.

It is hoped the new road would help with congestion on Elland Road following Leeds United games. The plans were drawn in 1925.

Mascots Jack Howson and Billy Roberts are shown ahead of the game against the Sheffield Dons, May 1937. Sheffield failed to score a run in reply to Leeds six.
