Anti-woke Jesus stopped by the well on His way to Jerusalem
and there he met a woman who had five husbands.
You are a low value female, He said to her.
Men's value goes up as they age
Men and women value different things.
I can get any woman I want.
You must be the prophet, said the woman at the well,
rolling her eyes.
Anti-woke Jesus made His way to the temple
and there he saw the money-changers,
trading temple coin for local currency, any denomination,
never failing to skim something off the top for themselves.
The free market has liberated more people
than any force in human history, proclaimed anti-woke Jesus;
the spirit of the entrepreneur is alive and well in Jerusalem.
Truly this Man is the son of God,
said the money-changers.
Anti-woke Jesus wanted a little time to Himself,
and withdrew by boat to a quiet place.
Five thousand people sought Him out,
and it grew late.
Send these people away, said His disciples,
they don't have anything to eat
and we have only five loaves and two fishes.
Hearing this, Anti-woke Jesus addressed the crowd:
Fuck you, freeloaders! Everything I have I had to work for!
And the people were amazed at how He spoke,
beatific, radiant,
anti-woke.
this is a super normie riff I know ok. but the idea occurred to me at a traffic light and I had to work it up, and I thought some people would enjoy it, so here

“We've arranged a global civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.”

Most national leaders in the world are all-in on clean energy.
India announced in July that it achieved 5 years early its 2030 goal of 50% clean generation capacity.
Wind, solar & battery storage skyrocket globally.
Why?
Low cost! National support!!

“We have had the police knocking on every door,” said a dog walker and resident of Dean, as a helicopter buzzed overhead. “They wanted the names of everybody living there and details of their social media. I know several people refused. We asked them if they were protecting us, or Vance. At least they were honest and said it is for him and that it will all be passed on to the American security people.”
Buried in The Observer yesterday was this: UK police knocking on doors demanding details of social media accounts of people, to pass to a foreign government, simply because they happen to live near where a US politician wanted to have a holiday observer.co.uk/news/nationa...

Prices in the EU, India, the UK and the US were 20% lower on average than in 2023.

I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve seen it in the flesh, but the original was ugly side-on.
Ideally I want a real (not theoretical) 400 miles, which means driving what I have until next gen battery tech is on the market. Solid state and/or weight reduced batteries will hopefully get us there.

The right one didn’t exist. I’ve had to compromise, especially at my specific price point. In three years time I can look at a second hand EQE or EQS, or hope something long range and cheap has come out, but I won’t buy Tesla and the real-world range of new models are still disappointingly low.
25.06.2025 14:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Well my current EV is a year old and adds 200 miles of range in 40 minutes, and it’s still a PITA to have breaks dictated by the car rather than my wanting a break. I’m sorry, I’m impatient, I won’t go back to ICE, but I absolutely want a claimed 550 mile range to manage a real-world 400 miles.
25.06.2025 08:38 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Range is still an issue for me (and I drive EV) I do high miles, can’t charge at home, and in the same way that refuelling an ICE car was a necessary pain, an EV is this x20. I don’t want an enforced 40 min stop on every 200 mile trip. I want real world 400 motorway miles regardless of weather.

Greenpeace condemns Equinor-funded computer game aimed at UK schoolchildren
School children in the UK have been playing EnergyTown which is funded by the Norwegian oil major.
Equinor-funded computer game aimed at UK schoolchildren shows fossil fuels as part of a 'clean future energy mix' - players who start the game with a heavy reliance on renewables often fail to reach the mid-century milestone.

To be clear, I’m with you in terms of renewables are the way to go, but the costs for renewables have to include BES solutions or we’re not delivering a resilient system able to steadily output a fixed supply of energy to the grid in the same way that nuclear is. We need to compare equivalents.
14.05.2025 07:43 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0
Hi Paul, do the figures for renewables include the costs of BES? We can’t suffer immediate power outages when the sun goes down or it’s a calm day.
I appreciate that BES isn’t a generation source, but costs need to be added to renewable generation figures for reliable supply to be achievable.
