Yeah that’s just blatantly false. Being in the U.S. without papers is a civil offense. Crossing the border illegally is a crime, but since the majority of undocumented immigrants came here legally, on planes, and overstayed their visas, your statement isn’t true. But you probably don’t care.

It’s a crime to cross the border illegally. But it’s a civil offense to be in the country without documentation. More than 65% of immigrants in the U.S. without documentation flew here on planes, with visas, and overstayed their visas. That’s a civil offense. Not a crime that deserves arrest.

The problem with that is that 2/3rds of immigrants in the U.S. without documentation came here legally, on a plane, and overstayed their visas.

While crossing the border illegally is a criminal offense, simply BEING in the country without documentation is a CIVIL one.

What’s happening in this country is an ethnic cleansing. Make no mistake about it.
