A huge driver for not shooting on practical locations is turnaround time for cast members. Losing a couple of hours of shooting time to actors riding in vans to yet another location is often the deciding factor.

The best news from the election in VA is the statewide swing in margins towards Democratic candidates, including the pickup of at least 10 seats in the state legislature. Close to a supermajority.

Two years ago today, 18 people were killed in a shooting rampage at a local bowling alley and restaurant in Lewiston, Maine. Thirteen others were injured in the attacks.
