Maybe work on saving horses in other areas also, like in St. Augustine, FL. There was a nasty lady yelling at me & cars to move at a stop light,🚦 loud & nasty, & she probably yells at that poor exhausted horse also. Horse 🐴 had a beautiful face, seemed to want comfort.

More than 75% of New Yorkers want horse-drawn carriages off city streets, yet the carriage industry is resorting to dirty tricks to prop up this dying trade and keep exhausted horses suffering through sweltering summers and windy winters.

They refused to advance it to the council floor for a full vote, and even when Councilmember Bob Holden made a motion for a public hearing, Committee Chair @lynn4nyc.bsky.social violated procedural rules by refusing his motion.

Today, at a City Council meeting attended by hundreds of constituents, members of the NYC Council Health Committee bowed to pressure from the horse-drawn carriage industry and killed Ryder’s Law, the city’s proposed horse-drawn carriage ban.
