Today, CM Rita Joseph and I celebrated @council.nyc.gov’s $8M capital funding allocation for @kingscountyhosp.bsky.social to renovate their primary care clinic and upgrade their Level I trauma center.

This critical investment will ensure more New Yorkers have access to quality, life-saving care.

This is a disgraceful assault on our freedoms and more evidence that Trump’s ICE is more concerned with sowing fear and chaos than public safety.

@cuny.edu continues to be a leading engine of opportunity and social mobility for New Yorkers.

That’s why @council.nyc.gov consistently supports CUNY and its students through initiatives like CUNY Reconnect, which helps New Yorkers return to college, complete their degree, and access opportunities.

Council Approves Just Home Project, But City Hall’s Objections Leave Future Unclear - City Limits The Council approved the lease of city land to build housing for the formerly incarcerated in the Bronx, over the objections of the local councilmember and City Hall.

NYC is in a housing crisis. Every community must help create supportive housing that prevents homelessness and supports public safety. The Council will continue to lead with action.

Yesterday, @council.nyc.gov approved Just Home, a supportive housing project with @thefortunesociety.bsky.social on @nychealthsystem.bsky.social's Jacobi Hospital campus, despite Mayor Adams and Randy Mastro’s attempts to block it.

Providing affordable spay and neuter services is critical to making vet care more accessible and easing the challenges that overcrowded animal shelters face.
