That being said though, after reading the article i think the author's feelings of growing up lonely are valid, but I think this points to a major flaw in our hyper-individualised society, namely a lack of community and rigidity of thinking about what equals family... 3/

There's also no guarantee that if you have a sibling, you will get on with them. My sisters, now in their 30s, haven't spoken to each other for many years after what can only be called "irreconcilable differences" caused by clashing personalities... 2/

My kid is an only child and I'm glad he is because I would be a worse mother if he had a sibling. I knew I wouldn't be able to cope with more than one kid, so we didn't have another...1/

Yeah it's not been great lately. I deactivated a couple of weeks ago and I am not missing it. Feels good to keep my energy for people who actually want to reciprocate 🙂
