ICE and CBP agents are out of control and put everyone in danger.

We're calling for ICE agents to withdraw from Minneapolis, and for Congress to rein in ICE’s abuses in our communities.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

This is not ok. We all need to stick together in these times. Praise to the courageous bystanders.

Work has been heavy lately, with a few severe animal abuse cases. I know there's big, hard things in the world currently. Don't forget animals are living, feeling beings that matter. And please, if you see something wrong speak up. I doubt the dog today would have lasted another day without care.

And don't take vet staff for granted. By the end of today, I was running a fever. The vet was also sick. We not only stayed but worked through lunch breaks because of the emergencies that rolled in. That is normal in vet med. Along with poor pay, poop, death, getting hurt and so much more.

I don't normally write about my work (veterinary medicine). Two of my patients from today may not make it. Love on your critters. One of the pet's owners has no money. We are donating services and setting up a payment plan for the rest. If inclined, donate to pets. It helps them and their humans.

I applied for mine. The person who helped me was very nice and said I should expect delays. He was very kind and wished me luck. He seemed worried for me though. He said people were getting inconsistent results.

USC Agents of Change establishes hotline to help move immigration hearings online Since Monday, a group of 15 USC student, alumni and faculty volunteers have already received thousands of calls for help on open immigration cases.

This is worth sharing far and wide. A hotline to help immigrants move their cases online, to protect them from ICE. "The hotline is available for use by anyone, anywhere, and may be reached at 888-462-5211. Services are available in both English and Spanish."

In terms of history, the emancipation was a very short time ago. We need to continue to remember, and make space for people of color speak their truth.
