The best part about #3dprinting is that “rrrrrip” sound when you tear a long build off the plate

Biggest “gotcha” is that you have to keep PETG dry, where PLA is more forgiving

Definitely. I just made the switch because I found it printed better than PLA on the XL. I’m sure there’s some nuance but it’s worth a shot just for the improved material properties. Also (pending no bogus additives) it’s relatively non-toxic and low particulates like PLA
