Yes. I agree with this. And as @alizaadi.bsky.social has replied, let's hope it's not a term he continues to use.

Yes. I didn't mean to imply that any worries about the wording are wrong because I agree. Thank you x

I think what he's trying to say is that actual concerns can and should be talked about, but if they are being raised as an excuse for hate, then there is no place for that.

I realise that "legitimate concerns" has been used as a dog whistle, but I'd like to think Mothin isn't doing this here.

Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. Itโ€™s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers canโ€™t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

Honestly. Don't get me started. It just isn't sustainable. I want high quality, dense, affordable housing, not what we're currently getting.

the post office is a public service. it doesnโ€™t need to make money. public transit doesnโ€™t need to make money. the library doesnโ€™t need to make money. some things exist for the public good and we desperately need lawmakers to stop thinking about them in terms of capitalism. these are not businesses.

Imagine you're in a weird romcom where Paul Hollywood is your rival. Do you go "let's have a bread baking competition" or do you emphasise your own relative strengths?

Because that in short has been the central problem with the traditional two's approach to anti-immigration voters and Reform UK.

22.09.2025 12:03 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 539    ๐Ÿ” 118    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 15    ๐Ÿ“Œ 9

Watching #GBBO and I'm more and more convinced that Prue and Paul and seeing how far they can push the bakers into having a full scale meltdown.

I'm also convinced being on the show would be cruel and unusual punishment.

You can still stand. Sinn Fein MPs still get elected, get paid, just don't enter the chamber as they are abstentionists and also refuse to swear the oath.

I find most clinicians are too tentative when applying plasters over hair. It's much better to be firmer. But agreed, if I've stopped bleeding, a plaster is unnecessary

Yes. That does make sense.

Something I experienced and am still figuring out, is that masking less means you need to retrain your brain a bit, as it may struggle with tasks you could do fine before.

I'd say remember to be kind to yourself. It's not your fault that the world didn't recognise your struggles earlier.

I'm still working things out from when I was diagnosed and it has been hard. So be gentle with yourself and others. X

โ›” Abuse against women and people of other marginalised gender in politics is escalating - political parties must take this seriously

Sadly, the current @greenparty.org.uk leadership election is proving no exception to this and weโ€™re already seeing signs of harmful behaviour

But a political party is a group of people that share a group of beliefs and we should be able to decide who can join and who can't based on that.

Would a Christian church be wrong to tell you you couldn't if you tried to join but maintained that you don't believe in Jesus/God?
