#TicTacTrek from #AlleyCatGames was a perfect airport game. It's adorable and compact and a lovely production. But game play from Brett J Gilbert and Trevor Benjamin means it levels up the simple formula just enough.

I can’t make the August one but October is looking good.

Absolutely. I was blown away by it when I first picked it up 5 or so years ago. Art is obviously subjective but it’s still one of the best looking games I own.

Discoveries: The Journals of Lewis & Clark is a very pretty game.

Double hexagon pool for the board / war gamers. Swimming lengths in this was only possible with a roll of 3 or 6 (very niche Voyages joke).

In an attempt to get back into skating I’ve replaced a broken old board with this cool recycled plastic deck from Lander. It’s super nice to ride and, as a bonus for someone who hasn’t skated in a while, very easy to carry about.

There’s a QMG for 2,3,4,5 and 6 player counts. I wonder if we’ll ever get a QMG specifically for solo play 🤔

Great looking boxes!

Quartermaster General: 1914 is such a great game. There’s plenty of historical flavour but the turns never feel bogged down by theme or rules. Of the three QMGs I’ve played, this is my favourite.

I only make 2d printable games but happy to brain dump if you ever want to chat

When I’m stuck in a design dilemma with a game’s subsystems, I often stop and ask myself this one question:

“Is the juice worth the squeeze?”

This is a lovely game that I had pleasure of playing a few years ago. Game is great, removal policy is horrible. Get it while you can.

I’m pretty new to it, but the games I’ve had so far have been a blast

Star Wars Rebellion is an exceptionally good game

My effort wasn’t bad… but 3 of the students surpassed me!

Managed two games with full rules teach in an hour. That’s pretty good going!
