(specifically there's the idea of humility and how everyone, regardless of who you are or what your role is, should hold yourself accountable for your actions and know when to apologize. like it's literally common sense)

also realizing how much south asian culture intersects religion as being part of the cultural identity is so mind boggling. like sorry, Islam isn't saying parents can't and shouldn't apologize to their kids - in fact it states the opposite that they SHOULD, it's your culture telling you otherwise !!

From my own academic research, even pre LLMs there was a huge danger of zombie factoids that begin in a respectable publication by mistake and then get reprinted for decades because no one is backtracing to the original source. Once bad info gets into the system it can take years to clear it out.

Some people just seem to want to eliminate all potential sources of discomfort, no matter how small or innocuous, from their lives. Fiction allows you to model experiencing big emotions in a safe controlled setting, and I just don't think any good comes of avoiding that to this degree
