Finding out Jamiroquai dated Winona Ryder but dumped her for having breasts that are too big and being too horny is literally sending me

Much is said of Brando’s gonzo performance here (and rightfully so), but I think the real standout here is Kilmer. He just radiates this aura of both coolness and madness, it’s hard to take your eyes off him. They don’t make them like this anymore.

not sure I'll ever get tired of Drunken Master II, one of the best Jackie Chan movies - and one of the best actioners - ever made

I prefer the original, Biblical term for the Rapture:

Not a collaboration I was aware of. As someone who grew up in an evangelical Baptist family. Stuff like left behind and late great planet earth was unavoidable. Still, such literature has its charms. Albeit not in the way the writers intended it to be.

Not really related to your post but this is one of my favorite episodes of the series. I never understood the hate for the black rose arc if I’m being honest.

I was rummaging through some old superhero comics I used to read as a kid and I was reminded about how sexless modern superhero comics have become. Back then we Use to get perverse images like this. Not necessarily saying that this is a good or bad thing. Just making an observation, that’s all.

some important news:

1) Wendy Carlos is still alive
2) her website is a beautiful piece of '90s-era web design
3) she has an email address listed on the site
4) I have just sent Wendy Carlos an email telling her how great her music is

They’re both similar in the sense that they are soldiers out of their time. Both unable to see that their ways don’t work anymore. unlike xorneto, Coriolanus comes to this realization just in time and forges peace between nations. But at the cost of his life. I mean it is a tragedy after all.

Planet X is such a fascinating arc. Xorneto in this arc is like Coriolanus (the Shakespeare version) if he went through with sacking Rome instead of heading back to corioli to die a martyrs death. A pained comparison but I just read Coriolanus. And I couldn’t help but compare the two.
