Anything that even looks like a poll tax is prohibited by the 24th Amendment and protected by the 14th Amendment. Neither Congress nor the states themselves can implement anything that would require financial expenditure by a voter as a prerequisite for voting in a federal election.

He has no authority to do any of what he claims, and neither does Congress. Our Constitution's clear - each state handles its own elections. It's not up for debate.

It's odd to speak of the "Trump administration" as being somehow separate from the "Republican Party," though. They're one and the same. Trump isn't operating in vacuum - the GOP is the one abrogating their Congressional duties to make him an autocrat while his GOP Cabinet kneel to his whims.

They lied. It's OK to say it, and keep saying it. Over and over again, we keep seeing federal officials in the Trump administration lie about everything from prosecution to outright murder, and we keep seeing it soft-pedaled in media - they "misspoke," or "gave wrong information."

They lied.

Trump posted a video depicting the first Black president and his wife as apes and his excuse for this is that it's a riff on The Lion King, a movie that does not feature any apes. Somehow this was a one-day story and we've already moved on.

ICE is killing U.S. citizens.

I'm not sure how often that needs to be repeated - an agency with no business doing so, did so with impunity & without consequences.

Howard Lutnick misled the American people about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein because he didn't want to admit he continued interacting with Epstein even AFTER Epstein was convicted of soliciting a minor.
 
It's a disgrace. Lutnick needs to resign as Secretary of Commerce.
