Working at home today so I had a pack of my Mamee Chef Laksa Kari noodles for lunch - thank you Ching Mei Lim. Made them a bit too soupy today but still delicious and had them Malaysian style with a fried egg on top.

Fantastic film - and a 9/10 from me. Ultra low budget zombie film (or is it a zombie film?). Anyway great to have a very thoughtful film in this genre that does not follow the normal tropes. Well worth a watch a prepares me for 28 years later on Sunday.

Ha! So they all laughed at me me when I said I was going to buy an ice-maker!

Out with the old codgers for ‘a’ pint at the Bridge. Good to see everyone and especially nice to see Derek Mann. The world has now been righted, until next week.

Back to Japanese films. Not quite what I expected - but enjoyed it all the same.

I think I am allowed a well deserved pint - and it is hot.

Unusual spot at Leazes park today was a common term quartering the lake. Not the best of photos I know but it does fly very fast.

Busy Saturday afternoon

Thought we had enough tiles from the upstairs bathroom but unfortunately not - so trips to Wickes and B&Q (Lisa’s favourite) today. Tiles delivered on Weds so work starts again on Thursday.

My first visit to Newcastle racecourse - for the Living North Live - North East show. Got some bits and bobs and a nice new picture - looks good in the dining room.

Double visit today - first CAV and then ICfL with Debbie, Christina, Ali and Emily

Scarlett at Lady Gaga in Singapore last Wednesday.

Nice drive to, and then walk around, Derwent Reservoir and Blanchland cross crossing between County Durham and Northumberland. Bit breezy but managed to miss the showers.

Never seen a Filipino menu before in a restaurant in Newcastle - actually in the UK. Will go for the Sisig next time we go to this restaurant. Used to have some tasty meals in Makati and the buffet in the old MO in Manila was excellent - as was the Jazz bar (and very sleazy).

Another day of marking - only 70/300 short answer questions to go on the Inspira Digital Paper Interpretation Excercise for the 2nd Year BMS students. Must admit it takes me longer to mark online than on a paper copy. Hopefully finished by the end of the day - if I stop mucking about on social media

Tuesday morning update from the Newcastle Baldwin household - we now have a big hole in the wall between the garage and the hall - and the house was very dusty last night.

Garage and hall are empty. Wonder what it will look like when I get home tonight.

That is it for today - 10.30 PM and time to stop marking (40 done and 14 to go tomorrow) and watch Match of the Day - good night as we beat Brentford 3-2 😀

Just watched the latest Volume of Love, Death and Robots. Was OK but have to say my favourite episodes are still, by far Volume 3, Jibaro and Volume 1, The Witness.

I am meant to be cleaning the garage out but got side tracked with some old photos. These are all from 1977 (Nick looks good in his swimming trunks) except me looking cool in 1979. Will find some more later.

Bumped into Madihah Rushaidhi again today, I think she is stalking me, so another photo! Safe flight back to Malaysia tomorrow.

Out with a lady who lunches. Lovely to catch up with Jane Calvert at Fenwicks today. I had a very healthy omlette and salad and carrot juice and ginger to drink. Hope the concert goes well tomorrow. Right better do something useful.

Lovely night out on the Toon with Madihah Rushaidhi, Vishna Devi and Geoff Bosson. First the Red House, then Khai Khai and finally the Centurion. Good gossip, good fun and a good laugh. Lovely to see everyone. PS also great to see Jo Geary et al who I have not seen for ages.
