When my kids were little, I said I actually had three kids: two humans and a carpet. Carpets get stains that you can't get out and then they look horrible. They get matted and then look horrible. Hardwood all the way. :-)

This is the sobering lesson I have learned. How many people are now saying loud and proud what they have felt all along and how many agreed with them with their votes and then went to church and talked about empathy and love. I didn't know it was SO MANY people.

This is also coming at a time when unprecedented numbers of tech workers have been laid off or cut from jobs. Our premiums could go from $800/mo to $2200 for a sky-high deductible plan. Not sure we're going to be able to swing it. It's going to hit a lot of people.
