This is a long one, but stick with it; I think we had a really great conversation that gets into everything from the nuts and bolts to the greater historical picture.

Considering the previous "draw down" was purely symbolic, I'm skeptical about what this will functionally mean. That said, for the sake of the people of Minnesota, I pray it's true and that this campaign of terror will soon be over.

Then I found out as an adult that I’m really good at math if I can use code to automate the figure-juggling stuff I’m shit at. I’ve entirely taught myself high level stats, a bunch of coding languages, and am having fun teaching myself calculus.

Those who weren’t resigned to the Math Idiot Garbage Bin as kids may not grasp how much “if you’re bad at math, you’ll die in a ditch and all will be better off for it” sentiment was floating around in the 90s and 2000s, but it sure felt real to me.

Funny story: my career in drones exists because I have a arithmetic learning disability, tested awfully in math and couldn’t study STEM in college, and became so angered by how normal it was to look down upon non-tech people in the 2010s that I decided to master a hard tech field out of pure spite.
