One of the things I took away from the 60s and Richard Nixon, first mentioned by Hunter Thompson, but I believe to be true, is the fact that we believed, at time, that all our protesting, marching and sign waving was futile and pointless when in fact, it drove Richard Nixon to alcohol fueled madness

Mind you, not much else to do. Could work.

I have watched his bit and the bit after Kuenssberg asks the question about 20 times and my ribs hurt.

Janey, Janey, Janey, still making me laugh from beyond.

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.

When patriotism turns sour, a city answers with kindness After weeks of flag disputes, one city’s residents respond creatively – from children’s chalk to international flags – showing unity over division

A city divided by flags… until children’s chalk messages and global bunting offered a different vision.

I gave a speech at my friend’s funeral. I’d known him 40 years, since uni. It was really moving to see people there hear for the first time of his life and work before they ever met him. When he was young and shy and beautiful and strong and he shone, like all young people do.

Can't think why we have one of the most competitive university sectors for foreign students if sucks all the drive and ambition out of them? What does Kyle think businesses - eg AI - are built on if not highly-educated graduates?

Is he not supposed to be the UK business secretary? Seems an odd way to represent your country in trade talks - and where's the evidence?

Ah sad. Reminded me of my good friend who died just a couple of years ago. His favourite restaurant, I think his best years were his student years at Cambridge and just after. Getting old Richard. But we're still here.

Today people went around my neighborhood in north east London spray painting St George’s crosses onto people’s homes. Many of these houses have non British people living in them.

This is getting very dark, very quick.

On the surface looks like a very grown-up arrangement - two adults doing the best for their kids. Life is not perfect.

Divorce and custody arrangements can take a long time. She may have attachments in Hove. Maybe has an arrangement to stay in the Ashton home in her constituency with her kids on a regular basis. Life is messy. Seems she's doing her best to make it work for her kids, her constituents and herself.
