01.10.2025 11:09 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Chestnuts were everywhere, when I was in grade school; you could gather them as easily as you can gather acorns today; today there are none. Much like the Dutch Elm disease that wiped out the large elms that once shaded Main St in my hometown, the blight changed the entire ecosystem. 😢

07.09.2025 12:53 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The only thing I want to hear from elected officials or candidates is that, the moment they possess the power to do so, they will hold Trump and his accomplices responsible for their rampant lawlessness. It's a litmus test I will 100% apply regardless of who it is. This is a pass-fail test.

Into the sea with the whole miserable joyless fucking lot of them.
A simple black and white drawing of the artist seated at her desk. She sips tiredly from a mug of... something... while gesturing to a sign hanging on the wall behind her. The sign reads, "This artist blocks anyone who endorses an industry directly trying to undercut the value of their labor by posting A.I. generated content."

One of my favorite kinds of shopping sprees -- I now have close to a dozen plants to get into the ground so that they can root properly by fall. Good thing it's a long weekend!

Are people awake to what’s happening yet?
I hope his closing episodes go harder than anything anyone has ever put on television in history.
Godspeed, Stephen Colbert.
Colbert should have Dick Smothers on just to compare notes on Presidents cancelling CBS shows they don’t like.

The silencing of shows like Colbert and Late Night is a huge loss of freedom of speech in our country.

When CBS talked about it being “purely a financial decision” with regard to canceling Colbert, I’m assuming they meant that billionaires were out to muzzle him.
