Each year website DailyPortalZ holds a contest where people dress up as something super duper ordinary.

Saw Hope of the States this week, which was awesome. Amazing by to hear the Black Amnesias live.
Islington Assembly Hall is a lovely venue, and hope they come back.

Can I interest in some time fussing a needy spaniel and two miserable cats, I could pretend it’s good for Brian times and distraction, but mostly I just need someone to distract them long enough to take a shower in peace

Watched final with my 10 y/o niece, she loved watching the penalties, who is now already furious that they’re still showing the football

This is class, Hannah Hampton imperious when it mattered, great tournament as a whole, but making Bonmati walk up twice after losing is rough, just not needed

That second Swedish penalty into the top corner and Lucy Bronze’s thunderbastard amongst two of the best penalties I can remember. Everything else was gloriously awful…God I love a penalty shoot out

Two episodes into Shifty, which is so far a great docuseries, but dear Lord, that police “interview” with the rape victim is some of the most disturbing tv in a while

I blame Come Dine With Me…I haven’t put this argument fully together in my head, but not enough was made of the entertainment part of the entertaining guests, when people went for it, they were mocked

Super Furry Animals are very indebted to Beach Boys and Brian Wilson, even getting Paul McCartney eating celery on ‘Receptacle for the Respectable’, and this song (to me) felt like a band showing their Wilson influence
