Got my artist glove from @bibicosplays.bsky.social the other day! It's super cute and fits well and not too snug on the wrist. Well worth it IMO, so check out their artist glove patterns if you're in search of one. They also sell plain black ones if patterns arent your thing!

This is a fun simple composition with the winding river providing the visual path to a richly colored sky. The contrast between those rich saturated colors of the sky and the deep dark greens of the marsh create a lot of drama and impact.

Nice!! It's so delicious. When I make mine I use a combination of some dill pickle juice and citric acid powder (sparingly on that though, a little goes a long way)!

I had a disaster happen when I tried only vinegar for souring it years ago LOL. It was beet vinegar basically and mostly inedible 😅

Oooh what's your favorite kind! I prefer when it's mostly sour, then sweet, then with a bit of earthyness. Sweeter is nice sometimes, though!

be less afraid to create clumsy comics. awkward tangents. amateur lettering. weird sequentials and pacing. You Can Just Make it. you dont need to be trapped in a cycle of perfectionism and imposter syndrome when you could have a finished work instead. print that thing out and staple it!!!

Let’s make books handout for kids, detailing various roles in making books; author, illustrator, editor, designer, marketing/publicity, librarians/booksellers/teachers and finally readers.

Two worksheets, “be a writer” with a writing mad lib, and “be an illustrator” with some drawing prompts.

Two more worksheets, “be an editor” with editorial marks to practice on some editable sentences, and “be a cover designer” with four books needing covers.

Two final handouts: “be a librarian, bookseller or teacher” with six kids and six books to match, and “be a reader” with preferences in genre and types of books to narrow your reading preferences to help find more books to enjoy.

Here is a handout I made for my kid’s class last week, when I went in to talk to them about making books. I Frankensteined together a bunch of art I already had to make it, and filled other stuff in. But it was a big hit, so I’m sharing it here in case you know any kids interested in making books!

A reminder I have a starter pack full of some wonderful creators with disabilities!
