Just finished "You Are Here" by David Nicholls, it is indeed a great holiday read, as the friend who gave it to me said. Contemporary, laugh out loud funny in many places, v well observed, poignant and one you want to keep picking up. Good for the beach, by the pool etc. 📚👍👍👍👍👍

Yes we tried a couple of the Percy Jackson series. They were ok. Next we tried the Cherub Series by Michael Muchamore (The Recruit, Class A etc) Got to book 4 I think and he ran out of steam. Alex Rider - seems similar but will give it a go! Rangers Apprentice looks good also. Thank you.
