I'm doing a master class in Antwerp on September 10th.

It's called Qᴜᴀɴᴛᴜᴍ ᴏꜰ ɪᴍᴍᴇʀꜱɪᴏɴ and it will be extremely nerdy. It's about making video games that are ɪᴍᴍᴇʀꜱɪᴠᴇ on purpose. Rather than, you know, by accident.

Llevo un 39% jugado. Me está gustando, aunque tiene cosas mejores y peores. La comparación con RE4 imagino que es porque es ligero, con bastante acción y puzles intuitivos. Menos enfocado en dar miedo, más en el factor diversión. Por ahora, el pueblo en sí es el diseño de mapa más interesante.

¿Verdad? Además es el personaje más carismático y con el diseño más interesante del juego. Qué forma de desaprovecharla.

After a wonderful in-person interview, I just submitted my application for my second master's degree!

And this time it's a public one, dedicated to investigation in the fields of art and design. Which means I'll be able to get into a PhD programme afterwards! 🤓

I think that's common, and it's actually refreshing to see another game designer mentioning this, so I feel less of a failure about my own break...

It's a learned skill but I have so much fun doing it.
Until I have to explain these things to a director who disregards gameplay or even a fellow designer who operates on a more simplistic criteria. To them it's like I'm speaking in tongues. Without the right team it can really make you feel alone 😕
