I only learned recently that downloading the Godot editor compiled with changes from specific PRs is extremely easy!
Go to the PR, then to the Checks tab, and download the editor for your platform from the Artifacts dropdown!

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.
If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

Something I feel strongly for is, to reduce dependency on US digital infrastructure, EU should fund more open source alternatives
(another thing I feel strongly for is, if EU does that, each project must use some of the funding to hire a required minimum amount of dedicated UX/UI specialists)

I firmly believe, open source often being bad at UX is the #1 reason it's not already the standard in most software.

I think AA are coming back and would solve many of the big publishers issue (risk aversion, production costs, people less inclined to put >60$ in a game...)

I tend to just name the topmost node for what it is (e.g. "Player"), and the children with their types ("Sprite", "CollisionShape", whatever...). Occasionally, I add the name of the topmost node as prefix for children (so : "PlayerSprite")

on Weird West, i made a "global tweakables" data asset for vars that need tweaking by folks who might not know the systems. it sucks when a designer has to assign a task for eg "lockpicking takes too long" because the value for that is in c++ or a BP node somewhere. separate code from data gang

This is exactly what I was trying to say earlier this week.
When looking purely at launch engagement Highguard did as well or better than any game like it can reasonably be expected to reach.
If Highguard's launch couldn't even buy the team a month to figure it out what are even doing here.
