I Googled "world" and it didn't say "exploded." Little victories

Anyway, sorry to post this if the world is exploding today or something, I haven't checked. It probably is, right

I think I'm in a little bit better place now than I was a few years ago, just in terms of how I deal with things, how I respond to things. It's strange to look back and sort of see your own footprints

I was typing "LlanfairΒpwllgwyngyllΒgogeryΒchwyrnΒdrobwllΒllanΒtysilioΒgogoΒgoch" into Google and the autocomplete didn't suggest anything until the 32nd letter. Google, where did you think I was going with this

A screenshot of the Wikipedia article about the 2004 Dave Matthews Band tour bus incident. The band paid a fine of $200,000 and made a charitable donation of $100,000. Some diligent editor has noted that the amounts would be $322,000 and $161,000, respectively, in 2024 dollars.

A sincere thank-you to whoever is updating the Wiki article about the Dave Matthews Band tour bus incident to reflect inflation

I'm back-ish on the dating apps and I'm seeing a lot of "free Luigi" but no "it's good that Luigi was brought to justice." Just a data point

I bet I miss you more. Also, you sent me a really beautiful birthday card seven months ago and I NEVER THANKED YOU. THANK YOU. Cardinal tape and everything.

We need to talk more about how it feels to be a woman amidst this sudden onslaught of β€œreclaiming masculinity,” celebrating male aggression and violence, and vanishing smart experienced women from positions of power.

What Apple Cider Vinegar Misses About Health Influencers How wellness influencers like Apple Cider Vinegar's Belle Gibson exploit medical inequities

At a time when people are losing trust in doctors, I examined the racial and gender nuances that draw patients to often misinformed health influencers, who exploit those concernsβ€”and how Netflix's Apple Cider Vinegar fails to acknowledge these complexities. ✍️🏽 for Time:

In hindsight it's very funny that Marvel's original 2020 plan was to follow up Endgame with an interquel (Black Widow), an agreeable introductory standalone (Shang-Chi) and a plodding bloatfest (Eternals). "This is how we'll keep the momentum going," Feige said to himself. "No brakes on this train"

Not really in the mood to post jokes lately. Sorry. It turns out unemployment is terribly isolating and I miss having people to talk to. I think it's going to be mostly earnest-posting here for a while, if anything at all

I've cried more in 2025 thus far than I think in 2023 and 2024 combined. But a lot of it has been, like, healthy crying, you know. Not tears of joy but tears that needed to be shed. Actually I kind of recommend it
