January first was a special Drink and Draw event featuring comic book legend and DC comics current Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee. One of my friends really loved his cover of X-Men issue 5 featuring Wolverine and Omega Red, so I redrew it with a wolverine and a can of (Omega) Code Red Mountain Dew.

X-Pun Issue 5, a riff on 1991’s X-Men issue 5 featuring Wolverine and Omega Red fighting. This drawing however has a wolverine fighting Omega Code Red Mountain Dew. The drawing is made with ink and desperately wishes to be colored. Maybe next week. It was created during a drink and draw event with special guest Jim Lee.

Most Thursdays I join a drink and draw group at a local comics and board game shop. It was started by this comic artist, Bob Layton. Anyway, each week he has a theme and I’m told that this week it’s ‘monster heros’.
