I mean the name of mortgages has always said exactly what they are: "death contracts" (mort -> death, etc). Not saying it ought to be extended to 50 years but they were never anything but a modern way of indentured servitude masking as a "necessary evil" for housing etc.

You need no change to be worthy of love or deserving of right treatment.

Those who "have it all", have nothing. They do what they do fundamentally because they don't understand themselves. Their need is endless because they have not addressed their own insecurity. Their apparent strength is weakness. They live backwards, which is evil (literally and figuratively).

There is always a path forward! Though options become increasingly challenging the more folks accept such changes as normal and/or succumb to apathy.

Some companies clearly have more funding than they know what to do with. "Spotify messaging"?! I get why they would want to know what is said between users, I don't see how all the work that went into it genuinely benefits end users.

IMO many tech companies find themselves at present with a misalignment between customer need and investor demands. This gap for many seems to widen over time and eventually results in less and less useful products and features up to and including changes that are actively harmful to users.

We are painfully close to realizing much of how things are that make many of us in persistent pain has no necessity in base reality.

Unless you do different there is no "deserve" different.
