Possibly, but I do think itโ€™s funny how every month or two this sentiment is brought up, and in alternating months thereโ€™s a somehow disconnected discourse about why this site is not growing

Cowardly seems too strong a word, surely the one quarter+ of foreign born professors at US universities are not cowards for taking the best option for themselves

Are these goods that stay in Hungary, or is some of this using Hungary as the EU gateway?

I hate do-operators in DAG (sim city for epidemiologists mercs and clinician investigators) as much as I hate waterfall diagrams and trial emulations(*) and only slightly less than I hate kale.

(*) be honest it is just an observational study, which can be quite valuable without the emulation hype

Currently debating whether my contribution is โ€œnovelโ€ or just so dumb no oneโ€™s done it before.

It seems to me that like a lot of stacked DiD studies there isnโ€™t a real โ€œfirst stageโ€ available. What we really want is the effect of a minimum wage change for those that the minimum wage is binding.

Review and Publication Times and Reporting Across Journals on Health Policy This cross-sectional study compares how a broad range of journals vs a narrow set of specialty journals report and measure review and publication times and assesses these patterns across journals.

Our study in JAMA Network Open found review & publication times across health policy journals often missing or murky, with wide variability. Need more transparency, standardization, & analysis of how to achieve fast dissemination but also high quality. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

My understanding is that unless/until something changes, all VA researchers will be terminated this way within the next 3 years

The most popular politicians in America | Politics | YouGov Ratings The most popular politicians in America according to YouGov Ratings. Popularity is based on millions of responses from the American public and YouGov's innovative survey methodology.

A well known stylized fact is that Americans approve of their rep but not Congress. So you can do this with any three. But the three you picked are actually quite popular!

This compares pretty favorably to other care systems, but interestingly, we could not find other work that breaks it down by patient and clinic reasons for cancellation

About 10-11% of VA primary care appointments are either missed or cancelled the day of the appointment. About one-third of that is VA cancelling on the patient.

I think if it said โ€œdifferences in trendsโ€ the answer is true (in the sense that there is evidence against the assumption) but if it said โ€œdifferences in levelsโ€ the answer is false.

Anyway โ€˜fectโ€™ and โ€˜did2sโ€™ both have nice formal tests
