To be fair, currency is the physical representation of an idea; whether it's gold, shells, glass beads, cheese, tea, the value is in what you can trade it for.
But I get it. Those are, at least, physical things that won't be wiped out just because of an electronic glitch.

Unfortunately, we will continue to deal with that anywhere there are people.

Trump's EO calls for focusing reductions in force for employees deemed "non-essential" during a shutdown. That is 800,000 employees. The want a permanent government shutdown.

I don't know why this is a surprise. As we saw with Twitter, this is inevitable when you stop fact-checking, moderating, and you remove content screening.
