A real best of both worlds situation that combines the anxiety inducing horror of 7 with the balls-to-the-wall action of recent remakes. It strikes an ideal balance.

It’s an obvious comparison but I kept on seeing so much of Red Dead Redemption 2 throughout it.

Both follow two men powerless to both the passage of time and a sense of grief which is insurmountable. A story of grieving loved ones, your livelihood, and a world unafraid of moving on without you.

Nintendo Switch 2 Is The New Best Way To Play Final Fantasy 7 Remake Final Fantasy 7 Remake is yet another excellent port for the Nintendo Switch 2.

My bad for all of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake posting lately, but I've also been playing around with the Switch 2 version for a couple of weeks and it's really damn good?

From a distance it's easily on-par with the PS4 original and oftentimes surpasses it.

I've also turned Cloud into a grumpy butch because mods have given me too much power.

Before it felt like a daunting display of his power before we met him ourselves, but the Remake trilogy frontloads him so much that it wouldn't make sense anymore.

A lot of darker and more contemplative tones are stripped away with the addition of photorealistic visuals I guess.

I've been making my way through Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth on PC and while I love both of these games for a bunch of reasons there's some story changes that just don't hit.

Seeing Sephiroth kill the Midgar Zolom right in front of us rather than stumbling across the corpse is one of them.
