I love having the opportunity to paint people I can interact with, sharing my art as they share references of themselves in a safe space. This watercolour and ink was done with a limited palette on the cotton page of my sketchbook.

Hades sits on a throne in the underworld with his right hand raised for an incoming bird to land upon.

Well this brings Sketchtember to a close, a combo of 29 Bird Wing and 30 Hades. It was fun. Now I'm going to hide from social media for a bit, given my over interaction with the outside world over the last 30 days

4 panels. 1 - small child stands on a log to reach a large stranger flower. 2 - child eaten by flower. 3 - transformed child birthed from plant. 4- grown woman announces apocalypse.

I'm still plugging away at Sketchtember here. 27 Cursed Kiss & 28 Priestess. The concept is from Overgrowth by Mira Grant. Think sentient plant apocalypse in which the forebringers are small children swallowed and transformed by flowers. Amazing book that my quick sketch only begins to capture.

Light streams in the full window onto a man as he leans against the glass staring distantly. The contrast of lights and shadow draw the attention throughout the pose but one can't help to linger on his face and wonder what is happening behind those eyes.

It's been mostly Sketchtember prompts around here but I still have to fit other work in. Here's a late night painting of a day lit scene.

In this first person view of an open door, the viewer is wearing bunny slippers and holding a coffee while exclaiming loudly "Ducky!" because guess who has come to visit? On the step in front of the viewer is a black cat and most importantly a small duck.

I wanted to do this in the style of pascalcampionart on Instagram. If you know their comics, its always happy when ducky comes to visit.

A Crow in deep tones of black and gray spreads its wings and comes in to land. In the background, whisps of gray-green and blue give a sense of depth and mystery.

I almost took a break today from the prompts, but I found a few minutes this evening to do a little something. Persephone and Hades, the love story.

I have this image of a classic style videogame in which an acolyte must advance to each candlelit podium and complete the quest therein described.

A dramatic performing violin leans in toward the audience while the background displays two other views of the violin, one strutting across the stage, the other bowing deeply.
