Yeah, throwing a minority under the bus to so we can call ourselves "culturally normal" is a pretty big red flag, if I'm honest.

I wondered how they would ensure the stability of the government in an environment where honor and integrity have no value. When all it took to topple their beloved America, was for one powerful fool to declare: "so what?"
And for the people to herd after.
How would you have prevented this?
I had a vexing daydream just now.
I wondered what the founding father's would say about how far our technology would advance.
I wondered how they would change the constitution, if I told them the muskets they took forever to reload now would become an automatic that could mow down 12 people. ๐
Aww! It's so cute! But I wanna have a talk with whoever named it "bearded" and not "weeping".

Saw this guy last week, but I actually managed to get a pic today.
Behold, the American Kestrel.
Sorry pic is kinda meh. I don't have my good camera on me. ๐ตโ๐ซ
Right! It is a crazy video. I still can't really tell how they did the face meat on the glass. It's so real looking. ๐คฏ
23.02.2026 05:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I noticed an inspiration in Mewgenics. The bunker boss Johnny seems to have been inspired by this video.
I love that. I feel like this video needs more attention than it ever got. As old as it is. It is truly a work of video editing genius and storytelling.

If Luffy was with you, he'd believe in you 100%.

21.02.2026 21:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sorry it's spelled "hypnAgogic".
21.02.2026 10:06 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0(A hypnogogic hallucination is a hallucination that ocurrs between wakefulness and sleep. I have had them manifest as tactile hallucinations before, too. It feels like someone gently prodding at me with a finger. But often it's voices. Different voices. Sometimes one stands out.)
21.02.2026 09:59 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Had a hypnogogic hallucination stumbling through the dark to the bathroom. Normally it sounds like a crowd of people all talking at once so you can't pick out what they're saying. In this case it was a Bridgerton-like, parental voice that said:
"Has anyone seen Ms. Noem. Noone is watching her."

If you're dealing with a brat tho..it's very effective. ๐

And oof. I can only imagine the stories. ๐
Highly recommend the CBD. It is incredibly gentle without giving a high feeling. If you're comfortable with that, of course!
I never wanted to take prescriptions. Too risky to me. I've heard some wild things about ambien. ๐ตโ๐ซ
I tried melatonin once and all it did was make me feel drunk. The only things that get me to sleep are delta and cbd. ๐ตโ๐ซ

20.02.2026 18:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They're quite small and have a very specific behavior pattern. They fly to the bottom of a tree and they hop up the trunk picking up insects. When they've gotten high enough, they fly back down to the bottom of the same or another tree and repeat.
So keep your eyes on the trunks near the bottom!
๐ชถ Birding Update๐ฆ
It's cold and windy, but somehow my best birding day of the year so far?
Lifers:
-White-breasted nuthatch
Saw a lot of loud geese and mallards, but also a pair of common goldeneye. Oh! And! A brown creeper on the "creeper tree". That one excited me. ๐ฅฐ
I believe in you, Aromie! Your future self does too. ๐โจ๏ธ

And I stg the most helpful thing my therapist told me on our first meeting was that I should make sure I take the rest of the day to rest after each session.
And I did that. And it was needed. ๐ซ
Ohhhh I see! I think EMDR is similar in that way too. But maybe less specific? Either way, I know the unpleasantness of confronting those things. And I absolutely know how healing it is. I'm literally a completely different person than I was 3 years ago.
