This review contains insights about the current problems to scale up change detection for geospatial databases used by National Mapping Agencies.

Quand on a des importants volumes de données comme en observation de la Terre, le débit de transmission est toujours limitant et quelques disques durs dans une voiture ou un train ça va bien plus vite que la fibre.

A l'IGN ou l'on stocke des grandes images aériennes sur des immenses zones, on utilise pas mal JPEG 2000 pour les formats de diffusion. Par contre c'est du TIFF quand on veut garder la qualité native.

A great work leaded by Antoine Labatie, Michael Vaccaro, Nina Lardiere and Anatol Garioud from the @ignfrance.bsky.social innovation team.

We evaluate the approach on 4 Earth observation datasets in both intra- and cross-dataset settings and compared it to other self supervised approaches and fondation models.
We also evaluate it in low data regime.

Based on our findings, we introduce MAESTRO, a novel adaptation of the Masked Autoencoder with optimized fusion mechanisms and a normalization scheme that incorporates a spectral prior.
