All film biopics I watched regularly in my Black home with my Black family growing up lol even if they werenโt โage appropriateโ
Saying this bc her film biopic was and is remains one of my fave โBlackโ films growing up and as a result I became enamored with Tina Turner at like 8 lol
But there are children who donโt know her/understand her impact!
I donโt have enough characters to explain here but this has me thinking about how changes in how we consume media (viewing TV collectively vs streaming individually) has shifted how much younger generations likely know about artists before their time.
