As an American, this is weird because the lifestyle we've been told to want is somewhere outside of its borders.

This is also known as 'lifestyle arbitrage.' Making Swiss money on an American passport while spending it in Colombia.

While a passport bro might be squarely middle class or lower middle class in New York or LA, they're kicked up to the top percentile in Bali or Thailand.

A passport bro is characterized as a wealthy western online worker who expatriates to another country with a weaker economy to enhance their lifestyle.

"Passport bro" is a term I've used multiple times in the last week and it was met with question marks each time.

The concept is as annoying as it is important.

Once inclusive accountability is gone, it doesn't come back.

The state then has a monopoly on the use of violence and the truth itself.

Because you may not always agree with the government.

Because their definition of enemy might one day include you or someone you love.

Because the government works for you.

‘If I agree with the government then why wouldn’t I want them to use violent decisive force on my behalf?’

When citizens invite authorities to ‘shoot first and ask questions later’ they’re eroding the foundation of democracy and asking for unilateral control.

The magic of a democratic system is inclusive accountability.

The state MUST demonstrate its evidence and argument to take action against the inborn freedom of any person.

The word ‘enemy’ is where descent into authoritarian control begins.

If one person can be declared an enemy of the state without due process, then anyone can.
