Great couple of days spent in Tallinn learning more about the volunteer Assistant Police and speaking with some of the wonderful βAbipolitseinikβ about their volunteering and their variety of policing roles. 10x comparatively the scale of the UK Special Constabulary, and growing!

Great to visit the Hungarian volunteer civil guard and the Lithuanian volunteer police supporters in recent days. Both interesting, evolving volunteer police programmes. Such a lot we can learn internationally from volunteer policing around the world.

Interesting national meeting today discussing high-value, high-skill specialist volunteering in policing. Engaging volunteers with professional skills from outside of policing. There had never been a moment when this has been more needed.
