In some parts of American Christianity the theology is so flawed, and the culture is so broken, that evangelicals don’t see Trump contradicting their values at all — he’s exactly like the men and women who lead their church. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/03/o...

But we are a people held in bondage to an alt right oligarchy who cares nothing for its people, only to line their pockets at our expense. Wake up oh conned Christians before it’s too late!

We now live in a country being governed by a man who has no character, no respect for the laws of this country, no concept of what it means to be honest and truthful. All in the name of Christian nationalism. I fear we will sadly find out soon we are no longer a free country.

We grew up thinking that “family values,” and “character” were supreme. That the lack of these were the downfall of the US. So how did Christian’s end up supporting, worshipping such a man devoid of any character? I’d say we sold our soul to the devil and we are reeping what we sowed.

I’ve been reflecting on the Christianity I grew up with. I attended a non-denominational Christian church that became a “mega-church.” And we often listened to focus of the family in the car as well as Christian radio.

I guess if you blatantly deny the truth so many times, people will believe it. 😔

Quietly become “republican” and infiltrate their gatherings to promote ideas of equality, justice, and liberty. 🤫

Lord, I pray for peace in the coming days. I pray for children and families to be protected. I pray also for truth and justice to shine brightly. I pray for love to be louder than hate. I pray for those who feel they have no voice to be heard. Lord be our strength.

Am I alone in feeling lost in the world? As a Christian, I grew up firmly believing in right and wrong. And those things were clear. But now it seems character doesn’t matter or isn’t a qualification to be a leader in our country. And I worry what trickle down effect this will cause on society.
