Today’s featured fruit is a tiny, buttery, delicious avocado. I didn’t know what it was, thought it might be a pineapple guava but it didn’t have that tell-tale scent. So just cut into it and what a delight! Sprinkled with salt and eaten with a spoon was just perfect. I think it’s a palta criolla.

Yes! I think that was my first Tom Robbins book as well. RIP

In today’s episode of fun fruits, here’s a delicious and luscious Granadilla (Passiflora ligularis), a type of passion fruit that I tried today in Lima. Its outer shell is hard and orange when ripe. It is so much bigger than passion fruit I’ve had in the U.S.

Theresa Chahine’s book on Social Entrepreneurship is great, I’ve used it with undergrads in the past. Very practical.
