being insulted has not been a positive experience.

this does not say they should not accept it.

this says they will have to get used to it because ice has all the money and the support of Congress. And it is unwilling to listen to local officials and there is so far nothing the courts have done.

It is a fact. That’s why they do it. They don’t want their faces associated with the activity.

The next sentence is the ICE director saying that’s why they do it.

Congress enabled ICE by giving them more money than any other police force. That was the point of the story.

I don’t think a large portion of the country understands this is going to happen. Childish insults aren’t helpful to anyone.

If you’ve read the beginning of the story and feel it’s totally uncritical of the administration then we simply disagree about it.

If you read the story and think it’s simply repeating what the administration says then I’m not sure it’s worth continuing the conversation. The entire thrust of the story is to make sure people know how prevalent ICE is going to be in short order.
