05.02.2026 11:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have so many photo books it now takes something a bit special for me to buy another. But my handmade copy of Sea by @andrewatkinson.bsky.social turned up this week. Absolutely stunning work - both the photographs and the handmade itself. Huge thanks Andrew.

Lots of snow, strong vicious icy wind and horizontal sleet. Youโre all completely mad. If you make it to Torside itโs heroic, yet alone Kirk Yetholm !

These are some of the most beautiful patterns in nature that I think I've ever seen!

30.06.2025 12:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Some grey eroded smooth basalt column tops on a beach, with neat lines of pebbles squeezed into the gaps between them (by the force of waves during high tides). The pebbles are wedged in tightly, but each time I visit some of the pebbles are different - they get swapped out.
Each time I come to this area I'm compelled to visit this particular spot. The pebbles in the gaps between the eroded basalt columns are just so incredible to me - so neat! The access road is closed so it involved a longer walk to get there, but worth the effort :)
