Cancelled my subscription Friday and went to DirecTV. I miss YTTV, but I wasn't going to miss college football or MNF or the NBA games on ESPN. Sports is all that's keeping me going in this mad world.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a machine.

Unacceptable.

I used to believe we were better than this. I used to believe we could disagree and still find ways to work together to solve problems and actually govern. That belief is rapidly fading. I'm 48 years old, and I've never seen anything like this. It's shameful and unacceptable and unnecessary.

What are we doing? What is happening? So many people are affected by these shenanigans and our lack of a functioning government, and my problem is tiny compared to so much hurt that people are experiencing, hurt that is only going to get worse. I'm so disgusted and embarrassed.

Our equine population, our companion animals, & others. I logged onto the USDA website and saw a snide & partisan message about the "radical left Democrats" having shut down the federal government. I sent a message to my area-veterinarian-in-charge & got an automated reply saying they're furloughed.

However, it was never processed due to the shutdown. This has huge ramifications for me, my clients, and my patients. Believe it or not, it has ramifications for you too. Veterinarians are the first line of defense against foreign animal disease, & our work is crucial to protecting our food supply,

I received an email from the USDA today that my federal accreditation has lapsed. I can no longer issue certificates of veterinary inspection, submit diagnostic samples, or perform any of the other duties I've performed for almost 20 years. I submitted my renewal a month before the expiration date.

The team was clearly tired from a tough win in Dallas last night, the crowd was a little flat on a Tuesday against Sacramento, but in the end the #Thunder and the fans did what they do and got the W. Love this team, love this city. #NBASky #OKC #ThunderUp

Alas, OKC wins on SGA free throws from KD fouling out, and I'd guess that's an even sweeter way to win for the Thunder fans than a blowout would have been

There is just no world in which any of this is ok.

I just didn't find them to be particularly well made, but they've come a long way with their engineering and the way they look now.

I've always been a little meh about them, but my sister-in-law has owned several and they've all been really solid cars for her.

Facts. We love visiting NYC and take the subway everywhere when we're there, and we live in Oklahoma.

I am an American. My grandfather, the son of Turkish immigrants, graduated from medical school at Columbia. He and my grandmother, a nurse of Irish descent, joined the Army during WW2. He detached to join the 101st Airborne after D-Day and was captured near Bastogne. They both now rest at Arlington.

Just back from another trip to NYC, where my Oklahoma family and I rode the subway all over Manhattan and Brooklyn with exactly ZERO problems. Zero.
