I get what you're saying, but a major issue with presidential primaries is that they can end before a majority of people even have a chance to vote. In 2020 I wanted to vote for Jay Inslee but never had a chance to because the primary was over Georgia democrats voted in June.

Advertising dollars aren't all that effective when incumbent board members have overseen massive increases in the cost of electricity. Republican groups tried the same tactic last November here in Georgia and failed miserably. An angry electorate seeks vengeance.

-no one will primary him in '26. He would crush any competition.
-he's *way* better his predecessor
-Our party resources are much better spent on Gov/General Assembly races. We have a chance to flip the state for the first time in 20 years

the best way to get out of fascism long term is for the republican party to reform itself. there's a nonzero chance that trump sows the seeds of that reform from his own poor governance.

ICE isn't going to attack my neighborhood but imo it could be worthwhile to run a losing democratic campaign in a red county just to make the local GOP answer for closing down our rural hospitals. these taxpayers deserve answers and maybe running a doomed campaign could inform people.
