But if you can, go to small cons, too! They're fun, cozy, and a great place to make friends/meet your local congoing community.

Just got home from PopCult—a small con in Waltham, MA that just had its last event.

On one hand, as always, I had tons of fun. On the other, I'm going to miss it. And I can't help but feel reminded of the dire straits a lot of small cons have found themselves in recent years.
