watched this video while eating dinner with some friends last night which led to the extremely bizarre double feature of watching Seven Samurai for the first time immediately followed by Maniac Cop 2

it's one of the few things i made that i'm still happy with now,

planning a route and then following it through (or dealing with curveballs along the way). or a game like Old School Runescape which, again, has very simple mechanics technically speaking, but the fun comes from thinking about how to be efficient and working around your limited bag space etc.

in order to meet whatever goal you've chosen. i think the issue with VS is that it does take a little bit of time before the depth of the planning element becomes clear. to me the appeal of these games is similar to like, Death Stranding for example, where a lot of the enjoyment comes from

i really like VS and play a ton of games in the genre and i think you're right.

i think what some people don't realize is that, while you do "just walk around", the meat of the game is really the "planning" element, when you decide what you should bring into the stage and what to choose during it

the only thing of hers I've seen so far is Candyman, but I liked that quite a bit

yeah I was super into the weird camera work and editing in years but i think the more straight forward approach made sense for this one. yeah lots of great music related scenes in general, loved it
