This sketch of her old design was made by ChibiJenHen back in 2017! Coraline originally started as an OC for Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go, as time went on, a friend and I decided she'd be better off as her own proper character, so we made her into a dragon, leaning a bit more towards a Sonic OC. Her old look was very simple, typical gloves and boots but with a trench coat to complement the tomboyish look, and nothing else underneath, trying to lean into the old Archie style. This was a fun look I had for her for the longest time, but I rarely used it and it didn't lend itself to do much fun with it, so that's why I decided to change it. Regardless, I am happy with it as the starting point of her design and her story!

For her redesign, I felt it would look cool to give her something that compliments her tomboy personality. She is the daughter of two former Biker gang members so, while her parents lean more towards punk-rock-ish style, she's more punk-goth. Her new outfit is now a striped tanktop, ripped jorts and more stylized boots, that way it looks good on her both with or without the jacket! (that now is also stylized with a blue interior to reflect her eyes) I felt this way she still looks cool, while also maintaining the feminine look, she's still a girl after all! Species wise, she's a White Light Dragon(my own creation), named after her pale white scaled skin, to fully reflect her being reptilian, she's got chest fluff instead of regular boobs, it always sticks out no matter what top she wears, so she leans often into v-necks to make sure it stays comfortable for her! I'm very happy with this design! I'm now excited to make new art using ir! Maybe even finally start showcasing her story!

As I kept developing Coraline with a friend, we joked about making an evil version of her from an alternate universe, and to go full cliche, her "evil" self is a Blacklight Dragon, so she gets dark-ish scales and evil red eyes to match. Just a silly palette swap, I still might use it later on!

So, here I have this old OC I hadn't used for the longest time, so I decided, why not redesign her?

Since my friend Sp3ctrum is an animator and also is a pretty talented musician, I wanted to draw his main sona being a DJ! mixing some sick beats while enjoying mate! (He's from Argentina). I always love drawing his sona, gives me an excuse to play around with light effects and tons of neon ambience, I'm trying to improve my own art by making more details like a turntable and other background bits, so this was a great place to start! I hope y'all like this!

Not too much to say, I wanted to make fanart of Paige's vtuber model for a while, and since he's a big fan of Zenless Zone Zero I adapted his bnnuy into a Thiren form! I used Zhao's design as a reference model and from there I adapted it into my cartoony style so it looked as close as possible to the style of the game, so now Bun looks smaller, fluffier and still as cute as usual xP He did mention if he was a character in the game, he'd use a clock themed sword called the "Vorpal blade", so I went ahead and designed it! I thought the blade would look cooler if I kept the regular blade shape but also having the clock hand shape mixed in, since weapons in Hoyoverse games tend to be very detailed and stylized. I was debating about adding a pocket watch in, but it felt it would have been too much. The only complication I ran into was that since I had essentially shrunk Bun into a smaller bnnuy, that means I had to make the Vorpal Blade shorter than intended for the pose with him resting his hand on it. So I guess the one workaround we can use is to say the sword can get bigger in battle? Sorta like to fit the clock theme of Hours Minutes and Seconds having different lenghts. Either way, I'm very happy with the result and I'm even happier knowing Paige loved it! If you are reading this, thanks for liking this lil fanart! Keep on being awesome! While the #zenlesszonezero pull edit I made for @luckybun.bsky.social was incredibly fun... I still had an ace up my sleeve!

Full disclosure, I haven't played ZZZ yet, don't plan to as I don't have time to sink a few years into it for now, lol. Buuut, Hoyoverse have always managed to make their games and characters extra stylish, so this was an opportunity to give it a shot! So because the gacha jingle for ZZZ is this crazy hip hop banger, I got the idea to adapt Bun's model into a Thiren, pretty much like Zhao. But as I don't have too much experience with anime-ish stuff I wanted to mix it in with my style as much as possible. I'd say I'm quite happy with the results! So the end product is that Bun is now a Super Agent, leader of the Wonderland Proxy Network and I had quite a bit of fun implementing an emblem I drew separately, plus some extra bits on the TV screens! Adapting a 2D artstyle into a 3D environment is not something I do often, but when I do, I love going all out to blend them together as best as possible! This took some time and effort but it was well worth it!

So... In the opening of the first game, Spark says he lost his job, I always mandela'd myself into thinking he was a TV host, the game never specifies, lol. Either way! Since he's quite literally "The Electric Jester" and the opening cutscene depicts him using his powers to put on a show, why not have fun with the idea? So what I did here was have Spark doing his electric show, guiding the electricity in very fun showy ways! As I'm making these, I wanted to go the extra mile, so I drew the background in pixel style and combine it with Spark's more regular style, and then throw in ambience light as an extra bonus! The funny side effect of working on this is that now I've learned how to make cool looking electricity, lol, I spent like an hour on that alone. All in all, I am quite happy with how this one turned out! I still want to do one more for his Super Form, and one little bonus I want to have fun with, I hope y'all like this!

Of all the Spark fanart, I should have probably started here, with his base form, lol, oh well.

For this remake, I decided to make the scene a bit more wholesome while also removing the bullying aspect. This time around, the story is that Kirara accidentally got lost on her way from school, but thankfully she ended up running into Zanene. The lil tadpole boy is smart so he asks her to take his hand so he can take her to his parents house, since there they could call her parents, much to her relief, so now those are tears of gratitude! Lore wise this is the first time they interact with each other, from there on they quickly became childhood friends, and as time went on, their relationship grew into life partners. Zanene is serious, goal focused and very disciplined due to being raised by his father, a high rank soldier, so Kirara contrasts him by being more gentle and wholesome, their personalities end up complimenting each other greatly as they grow up! I had a lot of fun making the sky and the background look a lot better and also include some neat light effects for the ambience! I'm quite happy with the results! I hope y'all like it too!

The original idea in this one was that Kirara was being bullied, so Zanene jumped in to defend her, and the two end up running away from the bullies, with Zanene deciding to take her to his parents, protecting her all the way. That's why they look bruised up and poor Kirara is also teary eyed, but he's holding her hand reassuring she's safe! I originally made this on Flash because back then I didn't have a drawing tablet and Flash's line tool became such a fun blessing for getting digital art done! Obviously this doesn't look the greatest, but I'm still very happy with how it came out at the time!

As I get back into the groove of making art, I thought it'd be neat to remake an old piece from 12 years ago!

Z-12, or "Zeta" as his friends call him, is a bionics specialist, he has no superpowers of his own, but he does have a super genius scientist mind that lets him engineer bionic gadgets that serve as his powers. One of the things his tech grants him is turning his hands into power drills that he often uses as a finisher when fighting enemy robots or androids. For this piece I wanted to depict Zeta doing just that, using his holo-printer system to transform his hand into a drill, that's why I worked in the lil effect of the holographic screens passing through as they transform his hand. This was a lot of fun to draw! The first of hopefully many for this year! I hope y'all like it!

Since 2020, I've made it a tradition to draw my doggo Zeta as the first art of the year, I wanted to get this one out at the very start of the month, but flu got the better of me...

You can clear the cache for a single site instead of nuking the whole browser, it might solve your problem!

Depression really doing me in today, might be best to stay off socials for now, get me something cold to drink and decompress with some good old fashioned gaming, maybe even do some art after with a video essay on the background.

This is more common than you think, sometimes when I do art I also get into that buffer zone, you want to get to work on the next piece right away, specially if you finish the previous one early in your art session.

But your brain goes "Wait... Lemme reset for a bit first..."

I only plan to complete the set with the sequel, the two Lost Judgment games and the Yakuza Pirates game when they get on sale.

That'll be my cut off point for the franchise, anything from Kiwami 3 onwards? Nope, done.
