I don't think there is an in-universe explanation for how they look, it's more a marketing decision.

I could technically afford it, but I just can't bring myself to pay $70 for a Steam game. Maybe it would feel more justified if it were a physical copy but digital copies should not be the same price as physical copies.

Oh damn, sorry to hear that. I started watching Season 2 yesterday and had forgotten a lot about Season 1 so I figured I just didn't remember his character's death but my husband was pretty sure it happened between seasons.

He actually left the show a few seasons ago when the character retired and Olivia became Captain.

That's partly why I was worried that the actor died. They did a similar thing with Munch after Richard Belzer died (and he had also left the show years before)

I do wonder if maybe Ice T wants to leave the show as well, tho, because it looks like they might be setting up Finn's retirement. (2/2)

This season's first episode of Law & Order SVU opened with Olivia entering Cragen's funeral and I had to do a quick search to make sure Dan Florek hadn't died and this wasn't a subtle tribute to him. Happy to say they only killed off his character XD (1/2)
