One of the reasons the US has managed to maintain hegemonic control at the world table is due to its cultural exports.

Great movies, great music, great fashion. All of these are heavily influenced by the melting pot that is the US.

It is great PR. And without it, the mythos of the USA dissipates.

My therapist tells me to work with the facts. The facts are that American values are rooted in racism, patriarchy, hierarchies, caste systems, and violence. It’s all trash. Everything that seems like progress is a concession. If we were truly a moral people it would be reflected in our culture.
