No idea how Joelinton didn’t get booked. And the illogical flaw at the heart of VAR means the mistake over Williams’ booking can’t be rectified even though it forces him to change how he plays and can, with one replay, be shown to be an error.

I agree. Better to admit we’ve made a mistake now and reboot the season after the international break. Outside voices will say it’s harsh but the league is harsh on anyone who can’t get their act together

We always get a dodgy VAR there. What’s the point? Yates got booked for less. Williams got booked for less. Mardying at the ref has worked for them. Can’t afford to let it get to us #nffc

Credit where it’s due, a better shape and plan so far. Ndoye bright and MGW the best threat as an inside forward. Like that one of the centre halves has licence to attack the ball to try to win it. Not sure Newcastle will be as flat for the full 90 but something to build on #nffc

I do happen to think that Ange is held to a different standard nationally - with more ridicule - because he’s been at Spurs and all that happened here. The circus might be slightly unfair but not sure we need it tbh #nffc

The thing he can control is sending out a side that’s well organised, tactically savvy and has a plan to rally around. Its arrogant and naive to assume you can go out and play without those in place #nffc
