Well done to your niece. Paramedics are heroes ๐ I hope so too, Brendan. Weโll be keeping an eye on what action will be taken ๐
02.07.2025 14:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0 Awful behaviour, well done the female paramedics for talking about it and you for reporting.
Sexual harassment is disturbing anywhere but somehow an emergency service is a workplace where to you might think thereโs less of it. Wrongly.
Every single workplace. How many of these abusers are responding to sexual violence call outs? Well done @trishdevlin.bsky.social for documenting this.
"Separately, a hidden camera was found in one of the womenโs bathrooms. An incident, she claimed, โwas all kept quietโ.
โI wonโt work alone with certain colleaguesโ: Female paramedics tell @trishdevlin.bsky.social they feel there is an โunsafe cultureโ within the National Ambulance Service.

29.05.2025 12:25 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Calls to end Irelandโs controversial badger culling programme intensified in the Dรกil yesterday after TDs raised serious concerns about the government-licensed practice.
It followed an investigation of the cull by @trishdevlin.bsky.social which we published yesterday:
Reporter @trishdevlin.bsky.social was nominated an incredible three times, while Editor @mariadelaney.ie and reporter @conorocarroll.bsky.social both received two nominations.
Three other journalists were also nominated for their work with The Journal Investigates.
The Journal Investigates has received an incredible 7 nominations for this year's Justice Media Awards!
Our colleagues @thejournal.ie have also been nominated for 10 awards, bringing the total number to 17 for Journal Media.
Congratulations to all those who have been nominated!

I've always been puzzled as to why there is so little public outrage over the mass-slaughter of badgers in Ireland - a gentle animal that pays a heavy price for the failings of the livestock industry

21.05.2025 08:33 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0We also found the traps used to capture badgers for the yearly cull are indiscriminate to wildlife. In the last 10 years over almost 4,400 foxes were mistakenly caught in the government snares. They were either released or euthanised.
