One female paramedic told The Journal Investigates she was "dry humped” by two different male colleagues, incidents brushed off as jokes.

Sexual harassment is disturbing anywhere but somehow an emergency service is a workplace where to you might think there’s less of it. Wrongly.

Cruel and unfair 😔 Some short memories out there, especially this week.

Jason, Mark, and Richard Quinn who were murdered at their Co Antrim home after a patrol bomb attack in 1998.

Next month we’ll once again remember these 3 little boys whose lives were cruelly cut short in 1998. Burned in their beds because of hate and bigotry. That same hate and bigotry is on the streets of Northern Ireland tonight, no matter how it’s dressed up. Stay safe everyone ❤️

Calls to end Ireland’s controversial badger culling programme intensified in the Dáil yesterday after TDs raised serious concerns about the government-licensed practice.

It followed an investigation of the cull by @trishdevlin.bsky.social which we published yesterday:

Reporter @trishdevlin.bsky.social was nominated an incredible three times, while Editor @mariadelaney.ie and reporter @conorocarroll.bsky.social both received two nominations.

Three other journalists were also nominated for their work with The Journal Investigates.

Journal Media shortlisted for 17 Justice Media Awards In total, 16 journalists were shortlisted for awards across eighth different categories.

Over 80% of badgers culled in government TB programme found to be free from the disease More than 8,000 badgers destroyed by DAFM in a nation-wide crackdown to eradicate bovine tuberculosis were found to be infection free following post-mortems.

I've always been puzzled as to why there is so little public outrage over the mass-slaughter of badgers in Ireland - a gentle animal that pays a heavy price for the failings of the livestock industry

Wildlife experts call these numbers “criminal”, telling @investigates.thejournal.ie that the government has “serious questions” to answer over its culling programme.

We also found the traps used to capture badgers for the yearly cull are indiscriminate to wildlife. In the last 10 years over almost 4,400 foxes were mistakenly caught in the government snares. They were either released or euthanised.
